Hi, I’m Megan Smith and I’m very keen to represent you in your upcoming real estate sale or purchase.

After playing a leading role for several organisations during the past decade or so – including Hill Laboratories (General Manager, Sales & Marketing), Bowel Cancer NZ (Chief Executive Officer), and Fonterra (Agrifeeds Marketing Manager) – I’m now enjoying the autonomy and independence that comes with working in the residential property market.

I’m highly organised and driven to succeed, and my number one priority is to meet your expectations throughout the sale or purchase process. You’ll have my full commitment in covering all the necessary detail to make the sale/purchase process run as smoothly as possible, and I take my responsibility to negotiate on your behalf seriously.

I have simple, four-point pledge:

1) Count on me to get it done: This doesn’t merely relate to the ‘big’ sale or purchase: It’s a promise to ‘do the things I say I’ll do’: No matter how small the detail, I won’t let you down. If I say I’ll email, I’ll email; if you ask me to call back, I’ll call back; if you want more detail, I’ll find it. I’ll do what it takes to get the task done.

2) Take conversations offline: Modern-day tools of communication are brilliant, but nothing beats face-to-face conversations, especially when we’re dealing with residential homes and lifelong investments. I like dealing with people in an open, transparent, way. Nothing beats face-to-face engagement, particularly when it comes down to trust, integrity, and closing the deal.

3) I’ll make life easier for you: I acknowledge the stress and anxiety that can accompany the sale or purchase of homes, but it doesn’t have to be that way. The people I serve are at the centre of my workflow and decision making, and where possible I’ll provide options, information, knowledge and professional expertise – all designed to help provide clarity of thought so you’re able to make choices that are rational, exciting, and progressive.

4) I’ll see it all through: I count on a good customer experience – I know that’s the key to my future success. I’ll tick all the boxes and attend to the detail. If required, I’ll refer you to some of the best professionals around. Sure I’ll get the deal done, but I won’t vanish from your lives. I’ll stay in touch in the short term to ensure settlement day goes well, and over the medium term I’ll keep in touch so you’re kept well informed about the wider market you’ve sold or bought in to. Who knows, over the long-term we may well need each other again, or again!

I won’t take your business for granted: I want to prove myself, and I’m determined to do just that – because I also want you to tell your friends about your excellent experience working with me!

On the personal front, I’m known for my high energy, competitive nature, and sharp sense of humour. I have a wide, strong, network of close friends, former work colleagues, and acquaintances throughout Hamilton and the Waikato. I’m community-minded and among my proudest achievements are being at the centre of a campaign to set up a national funded bowel cancer screening programme, along with my work in negotiating and establishing Covid-19 testing partnership with the Waikato DHB. Much of my spare time is spent with my husband, three boys, parents, and of course my two dogs!
